The dignified Romeo S. Magat, who brings to PHILTA the breadth of his management experience, celebrated his 73rd birthday on December 26, 2008

Born in Candaba, Pampanga, Magat completed his high school studies at the Mapua Institute of Technology.  He moved on to Ateneo de Manila where he earned his BSBA degree.  At the Ateneo, Magat was a member of the varsity boxing team.

Initially starting as a salesman, Magat moved on to become Marketing Director of Kimberly Clark Phils.  He also worked in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as Marketing Director of Khalifa Al-Ghouzaibi Grand Met.

Magat also served as Vice-President of DBP Management Corporation. At one time, he was General Sales Manager of SMC Animal Feeds Division.  He also became President of Celebrity Sports Plaza, as well as General Manager of Cashman Link.

Magat was the Philippine delegate to the Australia / R.P. Sports Forum. He was also appointed Davis Cup Team Manager, Philippines vs. Hongkong.
